    From Waterhead Pier, you can catch a relaxing Lake Cruise to soak in the beauty of England’s largest lake and the surrounding fells. Sit back and enjoy the journey – whether you pick their Island loop or hop on hop off service to the local villages we are sure you’ll love taking to the water.

    After your Lake Cruise , why not pop into Bowness for a spectacular afternoon tea ? Complete with Fizzy Tarté flair, you’ll enjoy award-winning patisserie, a selection of artisan breads, locally-made scones and a glass of Rosato Prosecco if you so wish.

    Across the road from Ambleside Lake House you will find Borrans Park.     Old Stamp House
    Located in William Wordworth’s old office you can find a truly unique dining experience. The food is inspired By Cumbria's Landscape, People & Heritage and received a Michelin star in October 2019. The Cumbrian larder is the star of the show, with local rabbit, deer and beef popular choices. The iconic Herdwick hogget and outstanding cheeses are must-tries.

    Finish off your day with your tipple of choice on The Deck Bar while watching the sun come down over the lake.
